La Giocomotiva di via Dal Re aims to offer children between the ages of 3 and 36 months a place to socialize and stimulate their cognitive, emotional and social potential with a view to their well-being and harmonious development. Thanks to a team of empathetic and expert educators, who have been working together for many years, children have the opportunity to experience the day in a stimulating environment. In our opinion, the moments of lunch, bedtime and changing play a fundamental role within the day and must not be separated from all the other activities of the nursery as they are not simple “welfare” treatments, but highly educational moments that allow mutual knowledge between child and adult.
The path at our nursery helps the child to acquire not only self-sufficiency, but also self-esteem and confidence that consolidate the desire to do, communicate, explore and express themselves. The educational experience that we offer helps children to become competent, equipped with the skills that allow them to actively experience their own moment of growth. Our nursery aims to contribute to various types of development: affective, cognitive, verbal, motor, gestural and social relationships with peers and adults.
Our staff includes an english teacher who takes care of introducing the children to the English language through moments of play, songs and reading. The stimulation of verbal and sound constructions different from those of the mother tongue allows children to activate new connections, to have greater mental openness, flexibility and adaptability to different contexts and cultures.
Our 500m2 facility features a large, bright open space that allows children to move freely, while the (more intimate and quiet) sections allow them to engage in activities that require greater concentration. Thanks to the outdoor space, we can do outdoor activities throughout the year and organize fun initiatives with water in the warmer months. Children will be able to discover the world around them in a protected and safe environment, through sensory and emotional experiences respecting everyone’s time and abilities.
Babies of a few months spend the day at the nursery in a space dedicated to them, separate from the area for medium and older children, with a team of specialized educators. The acclimatization creates the first important bond between child and educator and is a decisive first step for the mother who, having to face the first separation, needs to place the utmost trust in whoever will take care of her child.
